First Baptist Church Sunrise Beach

What We Believe

First Baptist Church Sunrise Beach is a Southern Baptist congregation. Our beliefs are grounded in Scripture and summarized in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and His coming return.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and that all who repent and believe are born again by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the local church as a body of baptized believers committed to worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism.

Baptism & The Lord's Supper

We practice believer's baptism by immersion and observe the Lord's Supper as ordinances of the church.
